The main research trends – fauna of the parasites, systematic of parasites and their functions in ecosystems. The main research objects – cyst-forming coccidian and malaria parasites, Trematoda, and Cestoda. Traditional and molecular methods of investigation are usable.

Research Services
- Identifying of species of blood parasites (eucaryotes), coccidians, helminths, muscle parasites (among them Sarcocystis and Toxoplasma spp. protists and Trichinella and Alaria spp. helminths), which parasitize human beings, domestic and wild animals; the studies on distribution and intensity of the infections as well as on epizootiology of diseases caused by these parasites, forecasting parasitological situation and introducing preventive measures of the diseases.
- Identifying of soil nematodes, including phytonematodes. The evaluation of soil infestation with phytonematodes.
- Lectures, seminars and consultations (including teaching of investigation methods) on parasites and parasitoses of human beings, domestic and wild animals as well as on their significance and the measures of prevention.
